We are seeking Alumni Notes for the spring issue of Naropa Magazine! Please share your good news, accomplishments and milestones to be included in the upcoming issue. The deadline for submission is Monday, February 17th. Submit an Alumni Note

 

Alumni Weekend Planning Committee 

*Save the Date!*  Naropa's Alumni Weekend will be Friday, October 10 -Saturday, October 11, 2014! This will include a number of gatherings and opportunities for alumni to enjoy, such as "Alumni College", classes for alumni by beloved Naropa faculty, school and program receptions, as well as a big Naropa gathering with food, music and friends, to celebrate Naropa's 40th year. We are seeking alumni to help with the planning and hosting of this exciting weekend! Please contact Melissa Holland for more information.

We are seeking alumni willing to speak with current students or recent alumni about your career path, and to share your advice or wisdom regarding your professional journey, through email, one on one meetings, phone and/or serving on panels or offering workshops. Alumni Highlights
Alumni in Hawaii gathered in 2013, sharing food, laughter, and personal stories from Naropa. Each alum brought a friend and shared their experiences, knowledge they gained, and how much they learned about themselves through their time at the university. The gathering included (pictured): Rika, Katy, Colbert, Shirley, Lila, Liz, and Tami. Special thanks to Shirley Rivera for coordinating and managing this event!  
 
Randolph Curtis Rand, MFA '07, recently received outstanding reviews for his show (Three Man) Tempest which played at the Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh, NC through December 22, 2013. Read the reviews from Boom Magazine, News Observer, and CVNC online. Find out more about the production here
  
Freddie Owens, MA Contemplative Psychotherapy, is on a nationwide virtual book tour from January 6 through March 28 to promote his new book, Then Like the Blind Man: Orbie's Story. You can follow the book tour online, read an excerpt, and find out more about Owens' work as a writer here.

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Sarah Worzer and I'm Naropa's new Alumni Communication Coordinator.
