Private Practice Symposium

  • using technology to support your practice (e.g., blogs, videos and webinars)
  • considering legal issues
  • understanding licensure
  • exploring money (e.g., your relationship to money and the "sliding scale conversation")
  • collaborating with colleagues in mutually beneficial ways

Anne Waldman Anne Waldman is the Winner of 2012 PEN Center USA Literary Award for Poetry for The Iovis Trilogy: Colors in the Mechanism of Concealment. Read more.


Art therapy students in Cambodia Naropa University's nationally-recognized graduate studies Art Therapy program's Naropa Community Art Studio-International has received a three-year grant from The Jenzabar Foundation. The Naropa Community Arts Studio received specific attention from the Jenzabar Foundation for its service learning trip to Cambodia to aid and train survivors of sex trafficking. In May 2012, the group of art therapy graduate students and Naropa faculty member Sue Wallingford traveled to Cambodia to learn more about the ways art therapy can be integrated into providing shelter for girl survivors that have been victims of the sex trade.  Read more.

Naropa University announces the approval and adoption of the "Statement of Commitment to the Practice of Sustainability" by the Naropa Board of Trustees. The statement, created by Naropa's Sustainability Council (formerly known as "The Green Team"), represents a comprehensive action-focused collaboration including students, staff, faculty, and trustees.
