October 2014

FROM THE MYA ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Dear Fellow Marists,
Luis Ramos
There is so much to be excited about. Whether it's being happy that more than half the semester is over, or excited for Thanksgiving to come around, something great always seems to be on its way. And great, exciting things are happening with our Marist Young Adult Program, too.

Over the past few months, the Marist Young Adult Advisory Committee (MYAAC) has developed a new campaign to coincide with the theme of the Montagne Year. The campaign slogan, "I Can't Keep Calm. I'm Marist!", reflects Marcellin's response to his encounter with Jean-Baptiste Montagne  and our call to respond to the great needs of our time.

One response to our call to evangelize is the new Marist Young Adult App. Personally, it is a joy to see a new app that is able to reach a wide variety of people!  The app's features are useful for daily reflection, reading, and some fun.  We hope to reach beyond our young adult community and help others to encounter Christ and learn about the Marist charism.  The app is not just for young adults!

As we approach the final months of 2014, and enter the Montagne Year, let's extend ourselves to others. Let's welcome ALL into our Marist, Christian community, making sure to be present to those who need us.

God bless you all, and keep living Marist!
