Marist Young Adult Program

 January 2013

Dear Marist Young Adults!,

January seems to have come to an end rather quickly. The Super Bowl is this weekend and the New Year is suddenly no longer new.

It seems as if we were just looking forward to Christmas Break and now many of us are back at school or work and forging ahead through 2013. But don't get stuck in the same old routines!  Coming off of the holiday high, the first couple months of the year can be the hardest to get through. Remember the joy and the love of the Christmas season and try to carry that through the rest of the year. If that doesn't work for you, you can always look forward to spring break! It'll be here before you know it!

Please continue to connect to us through our website, facebook, twitter and our mobile app.  And if you have any thoughts or suggestions, feel free to contact me at matt@maristyoungadult.com.

Peace,

Matt Fallon

Chair, Marist Young Adult Advisory Committee

ONLINE SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Unicef
January is Poverty Awareness Month and as Marists we have a special call not only to be aware of poor children but to address their needs. UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, provides information and suggested actions to help children who suffer from malnutrition, poor health, war and human trafficking. To learn more about these issues and what you can do, click on the icon above and visit the main site for UNICEF. To take the ZERO Pledge and stand with UNICEF and others who believe and work for the day when no children will die from starvation, will be exploited or will be denied an education, click on the icon below. You can also follow UNICEF on twitter and join their page on facebook to stay connected to the issues.
