Nana's October News
October is already coming to a close, which means cooler weather, fall leaves  and of course
the two biggest and busiest holidays of the year- Thanksgiving and Christmas! Nana's has a ton of awesome, fun events planned over the next two months, so scroll through the newsletter to get a sneak peak of what we have going on! Be sure not to miss Nana's Letter, it is a little extra special this month.
Nana's Letter

I hope this fall email finds everyone happy and healthy and enjoying the beautiful fall weather that we have here in Charlotte!  The leaves are starting to turn pretty colors and they will continue to look prettier each day leading up to Thanksgiving!  This is a favorite time of year for lots of folks.  We are back into a routine with school in session, fall sports, trips to the mountains, the fall leaves and, of course, preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas!  Quite frankly, it is a great time to be a pet sitter!  Please be sure to get your holiday reservations in now because we want to say yes to your visit requests and we can only do that if there is room in the schedule!

Some of you may already know, my Sophie was diagnosed with lymphoma in August.  This was a tremendous surprise, with no symptoms at all.  I do a Snout-to-Tail assessment on Sophie twice each month and discovered very enlarged lymph nodes that were not there two weeks earlier.  Of course, I took her to our vet immediately and they confirmed lymphoma.  She died in my arms October 9 at 11 years old.  Sophie and I had a tremendous bond and 11 incredible years together.  As you can imagine, I miss my girl, my 24-hour with-me-all-the-time life companion more than I can describe.  I am so thankful for my business because it is wonderful therapy for me during this time.  So, this newsletter will be the last one that has "Sophie's Corner" and we have prepared a "tribute" to Sophie for this month's "Sophie's Corner".  I hope you take a look at "Sophie's Corner"!

Next weekend is Halloween, which means trick-or-treaters, costumes, parties, pumpkins and lots of candy! This holiday can be as fun, spooky, eerie and scary as you wish to make it. But deciding on your own level of spookiness is key and avoiding all unnecessary frights will help ensure a smooth holiday weekend.
