Thank You!

Staff members from Cummins Power Systems presented Child Advocates with a generous grant award at our Annual Benefit Reception & Auction! With their support, Cummins Foundation makes it possible for us to acquire a learning management system to develop a robust distance learning program for the Center for Excellence in Advocacy, our training initiative that is now reaching more than 3,500 participants a year! We cannot thank Cummins Foundation enough for helping us extend our work to an even larger professional and lay audience, improving service for thousands of children and youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems!
A giant thank you to The Pew Charitable Trusts for their three-year grant and leadership support of our Outcomes in Behavioral Health Project, through which we provide our children with additional help and oversight to improve mental health outcomes! We are also deeply grateful to the Genuardi Family Foundation for their grant toward the training program that is part of our Outcomes in Behavioral Health Project! The Professional and Family Training Series provides educational offerings throughout the suburban region to service providers and lay caregivers of children and youth within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. In our current fiscal year we have trained 1,100 caregivers, with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes for their children and clients.
Our thanks go out to the Clayman Family Foundation and The Martin Foundation, both longtime, generous supporters of our Child Victim Assistance Project. As our oldest and largest initiative, the Project annually serves more than 800 young people who are in protective foster care and/or involved as victims in criminal proceedings.

A note from Executive Director Frank Cervone...
BOARD, STAFF and FRIENDS - Our own LINDSEY ALEXANDER has been named a "2016 Lawyer on the Fast Track" by The Legal Intelligencer! Lindsey serves as Staff Attorney for the Project for Medically Needy Children at the Support Center for Child Advocates, and she is active in our emerging child trafficking representation. Before joining us in 2012, Lindsey was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic and a foster care/adoption social worker in Philadelphia. She's always been a star in our eyes - now the word is out!
We also congratulate 2016 Lawyer on the Fast Track ANDY COHEN, a Volunteer Attorney at the Support Center for Child Advocates and associate at BlankRome LLP. In his short but impressive career, Andy has already represented 4 client children from 3 families. Fast track indeed!!
