Meet Our Volunteer Attorney Stephanie Gantman Kaplan
From a young age, Stephanie Gantman Kaplan understood the need to advocate for children. Inspired by her mother's work as a family lawyer and child advocate, Stephanie attended law school. A graduate of George Washington School of Law, Stephanie is an associate at Blank Rome LLP where she focuses her practice on employment litigation and counseling, including discrimination, harassment, and protection of company trade secrets.
Hearing about our meaningful work from colleagues who are Child Advocate volunteer attorneys, she took her first case in 2010. Stephanie has had extremely positive experiences over the years working with a total of six child clients. She recalls a particularly touching memory when she was able to achieve justice in a criminal case with a young female client. She had determined that the young girl was able to testify against her abuser, and worked with the Assistant District Attorney to be sure she was well prepared. Stephanie felt especially proud when her child client was described by the judge as "brave."
When asked about her advice to someone thinking about volunteering with Child Advocates, Stephanie says, "Children truly need our help. Give your time and energy to this worthy cause." She urges attorneys who are interested in protecting, mentoring, and connecting with children in need to volunteer at Child Advocates.
Stephanie is married and lives in Narberth. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, biking, and going to the Jersey Shore.
