Hard at Work in Carlisle at Benfield Farms Site
Benfield Farms is a 26-unit senior housing development designed in the style of an old Carlisle farm house and barn. The Benfield Farms parcel, a 45-acre tract, was purchased with town CPA funds, and the Carlisle CPA also approved $425,000 towards the creation of the affordable units. The building, situated on 4.4 acres, will be Carlisle's first rental development in 30 years. Of the 26 planned units, 18 will be at 60% of area-wide median income (AMI), and 8 will be capped at 100% of AMI. This $9 million project is targeted to begin construction in March. NOAH is hard at work on pre-development activities. Our NOAH community building and environment staff recently went out to work on wetlands restoration on the site.
