In One Ear: Chicago Musicians Earn Their Chops October 26, 7:30-9:30pm The ChicagoMade Music Collective brings together experts from the music industry to talk about the most current and pressing issues relative to working musicians. For this event, Pete Wolf Winninger (Owner of In One Ear) will moderate a conversation centered around In One Ear's role supporting Chicago artists, promoting healthier forms of expression and encouraging community building.

National Center for Arts Research Workshop
October 26, 3-4:30pm DCASE is pleased to host a special presentation by the National Center for Arts Research (NCAR), which has created a free, online diagnostic tool that allows arts and culture organizations to see how they compare to peer organizations throughout the country, across nine key financial and operating areas. 2017 Individual Artists Program
Mandatory Application Workshops Start November 7 Application Opens December 1 DCASE is pleased to announce the 2017 Individual Artists Program (IAP) grants process and schedule. The Individual Artists Program aims to assist Chicago's professional artists and creatives in creating work that elevates their careers and brings value to the City of Chicago. This year's IAP program will include significant updates to guidelines and eligible program categories, and all applicants are required to attend an Application Assistance Workshop in order to apply for a grant. Call for 'Year of Public Art' Exhibition Submissions
In conjunction with the Year of Public Art, which seeks to bring public art experiences to neighborhoods in all 50 wards in Chicago, DCASE invites submissions from artists who live or work within the city limits to the exhibition The Subject is Chicago: Places, People and Possibilities. Artworks in all media (including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, new media and installation) will be considered and selected by an external jury as well as DCASE Visual Art curatorial staff. The call will be posted on CaFÉ and cityofchicago.org/dcase soon, with the exhibition taking place at the Chicago Cultural Center, from February to April 2017.
