New for 2016! DCASE is seeking Chicago-based artisans that create or source high quality, affordable products to sell their items at the ChicagoMade Marketplace at Taste of Chicago, July 6-10, 2016. This is an opportunity to get your local brand and products in front of an audience of 1.5 million annual visitors. Items may include but are not limited to clothing, accessories, artisanal goods, hand-crafted beauty products, silk-screened posters, artwork, vinyl records, paper/fiber arts, and more. Chicago Cultural Center 2016/2017 Chicago Cultural Center Studio Artist and Curatorial Residency Program

DCASE is seeking professional and emerging Chicago-based visual artists and curators for six Studio Artist and two Curatorial Fellowships at the Chicago Cultural Center. Providing studio space, financial support and administrative support, the program supports those who demonstrate a level of commitment to their work that indicates promise and/or those on the brink of career advancement. Complete application requirements are detailed on Call For Entry (CaFÉ), the Curatorial Fellows and the Artists in Residence.

Millennium Park Summer Film Series ChicagoMade Shorts Film Entries
Entry Deadline May 1
As part of the 4th Annual Millennium Park Summer Film Series, DCASE is seeking original, entertaining short films created by Chicago-based filmmakers for the new ChicagoMade Shorts Series, a program of the Independent Filmmaker Initiative. Each selected 5 minute film will be screened at the Millennium Park Summer Film Series prior to the evening's featured movie selection. Each event combines a panel discussion on an industry topic and a showcase performance by several local artists. At this first event "The Making of a Masterpiece: Marketing Strategies for Artists and Creatives," Jamie Black (Dynasty Podcasts) leads a conversation with top industry professionals on the process of making and promoting a music project, followed by performances by Kevin Coval, Nikki Lynette and more.
