Gift for Burr...Almost Time to Wrap!
Donors To Be Recognized Soon -- Please Check Your Email Records for Acknowledgement

A Gift for Burr Logo
A huge thank you to the Burr families and friends who have contributed to our annual campaign!  We have raised close to $30,000 thanks to your generous donations. Gift for Burr donors will be recognized in our annual Thank You email soon, so please help us ensure that our list is complete and accurate by letting us know if you have NOT yet received an email acknowledgement from giftforburr@burrpto.org
or a print letter in the mail.  (Most have gone out already, but a few print acknowledgements might go out as late as the end of this week.)

Our goal is $35,000 and we have raised $30,000.  We are 15% off target. The reality is that Burr-wide programming and services funded by this annual campaign will not be level funded for next year if we do not have adequate budgetary funds.  Every gift helps us get closer to our goal, no matter how big or small. Every gift counts. Please give as generously as you can.

First Planning Meeting -
TONIGHT, January 21, 7:30 pm
in Burr Library

SNOW ALERT:
Tonight's Meeting is ON for the time being.  We'll put out email notification by 5 pm if we need to cancel due to a storm.

A beloved Burr school tradition that is such an extravaganza that we only hold it once every two years!  Please mark your calendars now for the Burr World Cultures Festival on the afternoon of Saturday, March 22 (exact time TBD).  Burr school families will work together to transform our school into a bustling international festival.  In past years, we've had 25-30 different countries represented at the event--Burr has so much cultural pride and diversity and we look forward to working with our amazing community again this year to build another memorable festival!

It takes a Burr "global village" to make our festival happen!  If you are from another country or your family continues to celebrate a tradition of your ancestors, we'll look forward to working with you in the upcoming months to make this year's festival a success!  Please be in touch with us via email or attend our upcoming planning meeting if you can participate in this event:

Winter Survival

In the Cafetorium for Kindergarten Classes

Today, January 21

The Mass Audubon/Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary will present Winter Survival to:

Ms. Frail's Class: 8:45-9:30

Ms. Rudek's Class: 9:40-10:25

Ms. McMahon's Class: 10:35-11:20

Ms. Fitch's Class: 11:30-12:15

A Mass Audubon/Drumlin Farm educator will present the Audubon Ark Traveling Wildlife Program to Burr Kindergarteners. The classes will explore how winter is a challenging time for wildlife.  Using wild animals, the Audubon teacher will discuss different coping mechanisms animals use and physical and behavioral adaptations that are helpful for survival. Migration, hibernation, and staying alive will be the focus. The woodchuck and kestrel will be featured in the program. The presenter will substitute another animal if they are not able to bring the woodchuck due to hibernation.

Creative Arts and Science programs are fully funded by the Burr School PTO. Parents are welcome to attend, but no younger siblings please.  Thank you for your cooperation.
