DDC's Halloween Dress Up Days have become quite a tradition, enabling the DDC Faculty to share in the dancers' excitement of the season, as well as being a teaching tool, adding theatrical elements to dance.  Please have your dancer wear his/her Halloween costume to dance classes on the above days!  (this is the perfect opportunity to get some "wear & tear" out of last year's recital costume too!)

Mr. Chris, as we like to call him, has been quite busy since moving to LA two years ago!  He's landed several National commercials on TV (Sensa & Cricket Wireless), has appeared in a few episodes of "Glee," was featured on the Latin Grammy Awards, and most exciting of all.....
will again appear a Guest Artist in our own "A Gift for Emma" as the Robot Doll!!!
 
Don't miss this opportunity to learn from one of the best, get an autograph and photo taken too!!!  The master class fee is $25 per dancer. Please register for the class thru DDC's Online Registration Portal!  Space is limited!

"A Gift for Emma" PRODUCTION FEE DUE 
Don't forget the $40 Production Fee ($60 per family) is due this month.  (DCCB members pay no Production Fee) This fee helps to maintain, repair, clean costumes, enable video broadcast in the dressing room, pay technicians, and more!  This production costs thousands of dollars, and the fee helps offset these costs.  You can pay this by clicking below, logging into your DDC account, or dropping a check off to the studio.

Panhandle House will be filming the Friday & Saturday shows again this year!  They really do a fantastic job bringing our production "to the little screen!"

DANCER MOMS & DADS NEEDED TO VOLUNTEER TO BRING THIS SHOW TO THE STAGE!
Can you say COMMUNITY SERVICE?!  That's right--any help that you can give to our non-profit dance company to bring "A Gift for Emma" to the stage is considered community service from volunteering as a Class Mom to helping to do costume alterations, etc.  WE NEED YOU!

A Gift for Emma 2013 Move Into Theatre

As you may or may not know, Miss Lisa rents a 16 foot Uhaul Truck to carry the dance floor (90 lbs per roll), 200 costumes, props, & supplies over to Krum High School for the show.  It takes about 30 minutes to load the truck and 30 minutes to unload on SUNDAY, NOV 30th from 1-4pm.  It takes about 2.5 hours after the last show to put everything back into the truck and unload at the studio on SUNDAY, DEC. 7th.  

Miss Lisa cannot do this alone--PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO HELP BY SIGNING UP ON THE BULLETIN BOARD IN THE HALLWAY AT DDC!  Thank you all so much for supporting your dancer, DDC & our dance company!!!  (and Miss Lisa)

We have the Class Moms Sign Up sheets posted in the hallway ready for you to sign your autograph to OR you can sign up below through Sign Up Genius!  Either way, I hope you realize how important your help is to the success of our production!  And just to prove it to you, we will GIFT YOU WITH A $5 GIFT CARD of your choice at the show!  More details at the CLASS MOMS MEETING, MONDAY, NOV. 17th, 7:30pm at DDC.  I hope you will join me and the dancers in making this the best "A Gift for Emma" ever!!!

RECITAL COSTUME FEES HAVE BEEN POSTED ON YOUR ONLINE DDC ACCOUNT! 

As you may or may not realize, the planning process for our year-end Recital Showcase takes all year.  Please don't forget that all the recital costumes need to be paid for by November 1st.  We measure dancers in class during the month of November, pick out the costumes in December, order them the first week of January, they don't ship until 12-16 weeks later, and by mid-April, we should have them in time for Recital Picture Week and the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival.  
Costume Fees are as follows:
Combo Classes $85-$110 (ages 4-9)
Ballet or Jazz only, under age 11, $80
Ballet or Jazz only, age 11+, $95
Contemporary, $85
Hip-Hop, ages 8-10, $75, ages 11+, $95
Tap, $85

COSTUME FEES DUE NOVEMBER 1ST --NOVEMBER 30TH FOR FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN ONE DANCER--$10/COSTUME LATE FEES FOR SEPARATE SHIPPING WILL BE CHARGED STARTING IN DECEMBER.
