Children in Kyrgyzstan the "Most Important Wealth"
Sultanbay Biymurzaev is a tobacco farmer in Kyrgyzstan. He couldn't be happier that today, all five of his children are able to stay in school and work toward a higher education.
Sultanbay is receiving microcredit loans and is able to participate in a mutual aid group made possible by the ECLT Foundation and implementing partner Alliance on Protection of Child Rights (APCR). The funding opportunities have enabled him to invest in his farming operations and increase his income -- without having to involve his children in the weeding, watering, and harvesting of tobacco.
The 43-year-old from the Too-Moyun rural community of Kyrgyzstan says the IMPACT Project helped radically change his outlook on life.
