On December 3-4, 2015, more than 80 representatives from multiple stakeholder groups came together in Lilongwe, Malawi, for a social dialogue to review the impact of the ECLT Foundation CLEAR Project. 4th Annual UN Forum on Business and Human Rights

The ECLT Foundation joined some 2,000 representatives from governments, corporations, civil society, and UN agencies in Geneva for the 4th annual UN Forum on Business and Human Rights, the largest global gathering of its kind.

This year's forum centered on tracking progress of the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, promoting policy coherence, and achieving more rapid change on the ground for rights holders.

The forum called for more active and more principled action by both governments and businesses, and highlighted the importance of both the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals

VIDEO RELEASE: REALISE Project Tackling Root Causes of Child Labour in Uganda
A new video shows how the Realizing Livelihood Improvement through Savings and Education (REALISE) Project is working to help children and their families in over 18,000 households in the Hoima District of Uganda.

Through the project, ECLT Foundation and local partner UWESO, which produced the video, are working to tackle the root causes that lead families to send their children to the fields instead of to the classroom.

The REALISE Project works to give farmers and their families more opportunities to increase their income and savings and to create an environment where children up to 17 years old can get the education they need for future earning potential.
