A "Call" for Volunteers
As Spring has sprung and maybe the snow is done for the year... We are moving into the time and season where we have lots of projects around camp and love to have volunteers come and join in the festivities. In this newsletter there is the reminder of the Annual Work Day April 30th. We also want to remind you that if that date doesn't work for you we have many other dates where we would really appreciate some extra hands. We have the food and supplies ready, you and your group come up for a day or several days and we will house and feed you and spend some quality time together getting the camp looking great.

We are working on the siding, fascia and soffit of the new addition and the dining hall. It is looking great, but we have work yet to do.

We are also waiting for the ground to dry up just a little more and then we will be hauling in the remaining fill for in front of the dining hall addition, then the landscaping begins.

This is a really busy time around camp and exciting as we begin to put the final touches on the summer plans.

If you are looking for possible date options, please contact the camp office (320) 732-3218 and we will help get you and your group scheduled. THANK YOU for the partnership.

Check out the New "Needs" List

It's that time of year when people are thinking about cleaning house and maybe updating some furniture. We have received a couple of phone calls asking if we need any furniture with the addition coming to completion. As a matter of fact, we are looking for some furniture. If you have slightly used, still in good condition couches, love seats or end tables and lamps we would love to talk with you. We can make the pick up happen. These items would be going into the new addition upstairs and in the breezeway where we are creating a sitting/reading area for people while they are at camp. We are also looking for a good refrigerator to put up in the Solid Rock/Summer Staff area for people to keep their items. If you have something that you think might fit the bill for us, please contact the camp office. 320-732-3218 or lbbc@lbbc.com email. For a full list of items we are hoping to find click here . Thank you for considering LBBC as a place to donate items. It really does make a huge difference.

Summer Brochure Correction

Please note that on the inside of the summer brochure the Trailblazer #2 date should read JUNE 26-30, 2016.

Also, for church districts that attend Trailblazer 2, this is a change in date from the past summers--moving it from the month of July to June.
A Word from Covenant Trust

In 2004, Grace Evangelical Covenant Church transformed their parsonage into much needed office space. Nina Larson, a member of their congregation, left a charitable gift to the church through her estate when she passed, and Grace used that gift to fund the renovation of the parsonage. Today, the office is lovingly known as the Nina Larson Ministry House.
Over the years, the Nina Larson Ministry House has become much more than an office. In addition to providing a space for administrative work and meetings, the house serves as a place for many different ministries. Youth groups and Bible studies meet there. Confirmation classes and Sunday school are held there. And people from the neighborhood who find themselves much more comfortable in a house rather than a church sometimes drop in and ask for prayer.
The Nina Larson Ministry House is a tremendous blessing, not just for the church but for its neighborhood as well. And the story of how the Nina Larson Ministry House came to be is a great, tangible example of the wide-ranging and long-lasting effects our charitable gifts can have -- and how those gifts can build a lasting legacy.
It can be difficult to fully grasp the effect our charitable gifts have on Lake Beauty Bible Camp and other ministries that we support. But you don't need to personally fund a building renovation to make a difference. Regular tithing is an amazing gift: financially supporting a church week after week, month after month, and year after year allows it to bless the congregation now and ensure it is around for future generations as well. Or consider a small, one-time donation that helps send a teen to camp: the money you gave may seem like an insignificant amount to you, but it allowed a child to have a one-of-a-kind, life-changing experience.
No gift is too small. No gift is unimportant. Whether you give small amounts in cash or large amounts through estate planning, your donation can have a wide-ranging, long-lasting impact, just like Nina Larson's gift.
Learn more about the Nina Larson Ministry House and charitable giving in our video at www.CovTrustBlog.com. And if you would like to discuss giving through estate planning and other charitable giving and legacy planning options, contact Steve Allison, your local Financial Services Representative, at 218-297-7701 or email him atsrallison@covenanttrust.com.
