Moving Us Forward
In 2014, we will be working harder than ever to keep you informed about everything that is happening in District 1, the largest and fastest-growing area in Orange County. Tildenville Rural Settlement
One of our smallest but treasured communities in District 1 is the Tildenville Rural Settlement. The District 1 Office has participated in many activities in Tildenville aimed at enhancing the area's safety, appearance and viability.
Safe Neighborhood Community Clean Up 
In 2013, we joined with with several organizations to participate in a  Safe Neighborhood Community Clean Up. During the event, Orange County's Solid Waste Division collected 3.38 tons of bulky waste items and 1.52 tons of tires. In addition, the Environmental Protection Division collected 150 lbs. of hazardous waste, Parks and Recreation helped educate citizens on recreational programs available to them, and the Animal Services Division provided information about proper animal care and laws.
Tildenville Christmas Shoe Program
During the holiday season, the District 1 Office worked with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Orange County Public Schools, the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association and several volunteer groups on the Tildenville Christmas Shoe Program to distribute new shoes to children in need in the community.

  • BZA Palm Lake Drive - proposed religious-use facility for the property at 8841 Palm Lake Drive - will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Chain of Lakes Middle School (Cafeteria), 700 Conroy-Windermere Road, Orlando, FL 32819.   
  • John Young Community Park meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Hunter's Creek Town Hall, 14101 Town Loop Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32837.
  • Savona PD - Proposed Land Use Plan for the property located at 1905 S. Apopka Vineland Road - will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Chain of Lakes Middle School (8700 Conroy Winderemere Road, Orlando, FL 32819).
  • Granada PD - Land Use Plan Amendment proposed by Unicorp National Developments, Inc. - will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Dr. Phillips Elementary School (Cafeteria), 6909 Dr. Phillips Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819.
  • Perrihouse I & II- Future Land Use Amendment - will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Bay Meadows Elementary School, 9150 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32836.
