Upcoming Events at UUCW
Yard Sale is Coming! - June 10, 2017  YardSale

As you know the yard sale is coming up soon - June 10 to be exact.  And, as always, its success depends on your contributions.  So, here are some of the specifics for those who haven't done this before.  We take basically everything:  clothing and shoes/boots, electronics, books, toys, household goods, art work, linens, jewelry, sports equipment, small furniture.  The only thing we don't take is large furniture unless you are able to remove it if it doesn't sell.  We ask that everything be in good, working condition - please make sure that things are clean, whole and in good shape.  You may drop them off at church on Wednesday, or Thursday the 7th and 8th from 9am - 6 pm or on Friday the 9th  from 9 am - noon.  If you have large items that need to be picked up please let me know as Aaron will have a truck and can collect things on Friday.  If you have any questions please let me know.  This is a crazy, fun event that raises LOTS of money for the church so please spread the word - both to people who may want to donate and especially to people who want to buy.  Thanks in advance for your participation.

Bookcases Needed!!
UUCW folks are great readers and donate many books to our annual yard sale. The book room desperately needs bookcases in which to display these great books!  Currently we have NONE!!

Could you lend a bookcase for Wednesday through
Saturday this week?  Please mark your bookcases with your name and we will very gratefully return them  at the end of the sale.

Just a reminder - if you shop on Amazon there is an opportunity to earn money for the church.  Just go to Amazon Smile and select the church as a place where Amazon will provide a contribution based on what you buy.  We get a percentage of your total purchase.  Even if you are using Amazon Prime it will still kick in but you have to go to Amazon Smile at the outset.  Thanks - every little bit helps!

2017 Summer Services Ministry Team Forming SummerWorship

Our series of 2017 Summer Sunday Services will begin on June 25 and run through September 3.  Services are at 10 am. This series of 11 services is typically lay-led and often followed by a roaming fellowship hour/lunch at a local restaurant.  Our Summer Services Ministry Team seeks Sunday Presenters, people to offer a Summer Service presentation on a topic of your own choosing; people to serve as Sunday Assistants who would work with the presenter of the week to set up the lounge space and to help present parts of the service as desired by the presenter, and Service Coordinators who would be responsible for opening and closing the building, taking attendance, submitting pew sheets and securing the offering for the day.  If you are interested in serving in any of these capacities, please CLICK HERE
