A sound drifts gently in the early morning

Between the plains of consciousness;

A call from creation - "I am worthy and so are you.

Rest but do not slumber long.

You must stand midst the chaotic swirl

And there repose with gestures of humanity;

Subtle reminders of possibilities

That only seem to haunt your dream-world fantasies.

Take care that niceties do not veil truthful words.

Let raging kindness be the narrative that unlocks fearful hearts.

Those with power will not favor your presence

Even as they pine for your blessing.

Befriend them in your cry for justice.

Prove there is no harm in healing,

Even as the treatment stings, or amputates rotten ways.

Welcome the breath that first met the void
