Fundraising Opportunity - Build a Deck with the Vigneaus!Vigneau

Paul and Diane Vigneau are offering a fundraising opportunity to our community.  They have purchased the materials to build a 8' X 12' deck and rather than pay a contractor to erect it, they would like to hire YOU!  If you have some building experience and are willing to offer your expertise and labor, they are looking for you to work for them a couple of upcoming Saturdays.  In return, they will make a donation of $400 to the church in your name or the name of your choosing for up to 4 qualified individuals resulting in a total donation of $1,600.  If you are interested, please contact Paul or Diane at (508) 459-2643 or by email at gosoxinrutland@msn.com

Weekly Meditative Moment

The WindowPoem

A storm blew in last night and knocked out

the electricity. When I looked

through the window, the trees were translucent.

Bent and covered with rime. A vast calm

lay over the countryside.

I knew better. But at that moment

I felt I'd never in my life made any

false promises, nor committed

so much as one indecent act. My thoughts

were virtuous. Later on that morning,

of course, electricity was restored.

The sun moved from behind the clouds,

melting the hoarfrost.

And things stood as they had before.
