50/50 Offering - Ride With Pride
Sunday, October 19

This month's 50/50 offering will be shared with Ride with Pride at Forge Works Farm in Rutland.

Ride with Pride is a non-profit therapeutic riding program for special needs children and adults that strives to physically, cognitively and emotionally strengthen its clients through riding and developing relationships with horses.

This program offers clients with disabilities an opportunity to learn and appreciate a horse's movement through riding, communicating and caring for a horse. Therapeutic riding is a recreational activity that can improve overall strength, endurance, attention and function while having fun!

Therapeutic riding can include mounted and non-mounted activities, and is provided at a pace appropriate to the level of the client. Therapeutic riding is maintained by a licensed instructor who is specially trained in therapeutic riding, as well monitored by a registered therapist.

Ted Mahan of Ride with Pride will join us for the service and coffee hour to present his wonderful program.

Looking for a Few Good People!worshipassist

Worship at UUCW is the product of many voi ces, hands and hearts.  Each Sunday we look forward to hearing from each other about the important happenings in our lives and the world, and our worship experience is made rich and meaningful because of the variety of voices included in it.

!!! WE NEED YOUR HELP ON SUNDAY MORNINGS !!!

We are looking for people to become part of one of our Sunday Morning Worship Teams as a Worship Assistant (WA).  WAs work with the Worship Leader to provide any of the following:  help setting up the sanctuary prior to the service, lighting the chalice, welcoming the congregation to worship, presenting the opening words, introducing the offertory or assisting with a ritual.  You do not have to have any previous training, we'll work with anyone willing to lend their presence to this program.

Congregation Leaders!  Do you have a special church program, project or group that you are promoting?  Becoming part of a Worship Team on the Sunday(s) before your activity gives you a moment to introduce the congregation to your activity.

New to the congregation?  This is a wonderful way to become known and to have an opportunity to introduce yourself.

Willing to give it a try?!  The please visit HERE to sign up on any upcoming Sunday morning.

What more information or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Minister.
