Superintendent's Message
Dear Colleagues:
I hope you are enjoying the final days of summer break. Just this week, as we head back to school, I was privileged to announce record-breaking ACT results and Advanced Placement results from last school year. The gains you are achieving with our students - from early childhood through early college - are a testament to your effort and your expertise. I know this year is going to be even more remarkable.
This year we are continuing with our gradual transition toward the day when Louisiana students learn on a level playing field with their peers across America. In two weeks, by the time you are back in school, Ed-Connect will include a back-to school-checklist of resources and tools designed to help you plan targets, curriculum, units, and lessons aligned with these new expectations. I hope it's helpful. In the meantime, I hope you'll also make use of the tools already available in the Classroom Support Toolbox as you finish off plans for the start of school.
As always, thank you for all you do for our children,
John
