Replacing Marks
According to ALSC, regardless of the situation a previous facility's IPPC mark cannot be replaced with another facility's IPPC mark unless the WPM is retreated and the previous facility's marks obliterated.
Additionally, if you add pieces of wood to a WPM certified with another facility's IPPC mark then you would only mark the pieces you added on. You will then take responsibility for only the wood you added on and marked. The manufacturer or treater of the original WPM will then take responsibility for their marked material. If there is a question of how to apply your mark, please never hesitate to ask us for clarification.
