Recap of last month's events...


HTNG North American Conference



ITW representatives learned about the various Forums dedicated to enhancing the deployment of technology in hotels which are available to join.  These Forums and workgroups bring members of the industry together to collaborate on technology solutions for Hospitality. The biggest topics focused on mobility and BYOD as Guests expect to have a home-away-from-home experience as soon as they check in.
Additionally, Ken Barnes, VP of IT, White Lodging, moderated a session with speakers to discuss the huge undertaking of replacing core hotel systems like central reservations systems (CRS), property management systems (PMS) and customer relationship management systems (CRM).

Last week ITW representatives attended the 3 day trade show exhibit. It was an impressive exhibition floor featuring over 900 exhibiting companies from 123 countries.
The industry sectors represented in the trade show included destinations, ship equipment, information and entertainment technology, design and refurbishment, ship services and hotel operations and food and beverage. Major country pavilions include Italy, Spain, Germany and France.
It was great to meet some of the players' specific to the "floating hotel" industry, along with longtime acquaintances from the hospitality communication/ technology industry.

Price Increase on Analog and Digital Gateways

Effective immediately,  the price for Dialogic media gateways (DMG) will increase by 30% for analog integrations, and 15% for digital integrations.

These gateways are used for integrating InnLine IP voicemail to non-SIP legacy PBX systems such as Hitachi, Nortel/Avaya and Mitel SX 200/2000.
