Plan-It Training
June 2nd & 8th, 2016 @ St. James Commons
"Give us one day, and we'll give you a whole year!" Plan-It is a guided planning and sharing experience for those responsible for youth ministry. Review essential youth ministry lenses, planning tools, and usable templates. Participants design a well-balanced, one year framework, with an emphasis on self- care and building a leadership producing culture. We will be offering Plan-it on TWO dates. Pick one that works for you! Register online.
Cathedral Youth Day - April 16
Hot dog cart and more!
Just like our diocese, a lot of good things go into making a "Chicago Dog." So we're planning for a hot dog cart to make an appearance for lunch. There will be also fun games, tours of St. James Commons and the Cathedral, and opportunities to make new friends from all around the diocese. Youth are invited to bring their musical talents to share. And we suggest parish youth groups take advantage of the opportunity to see the sights downtown after the closing worship service. This one day event is for all youth in grades 6-12.  Learn more and register online
Camp Chicago 2016
Tell a friend! Bring a friend! Make new friends!
So many great things happen at Camp Chicago. But maybe one of the best is the opportunity to form friendships with other campers from around our diocese. If you'd like to tell a friend or family member about Camp Chicago, you can find brochures here on our website. Or print out a poster to hang up at your church, school, office or where ever youth and families might see it! Help spread the word about camp and give the gift of friendship.
Faith Forward Conference
April 18-21, 2016 @ St. James Commons
"Fresh expressions of Christianity are taking root and growing across the globe. Forward-thinking approaches to ministry, worship, and community are emerging. Questions are being asked. Lines of division are being crossed. And change is happening in all sorts of Christian traditions and denominations. But what does the spiritual formation of children and youth look like in the midst of these changes? Faith Forward gatherings seek to help leaders and partners in ministry re-imagine children's and youth ministry through theology, relationship, and practice." Learn more and register for the conference online.
