A classic and wonderful Morton story about an English family living at their lakeside estate in Cornwell until a shocking incident causes them to abandon their life there and flee to London. Spanning decades from pre-WWI to the early 2000's, this is a mysterious and haunting tale of a seemingly happy family, but every family has their secrets they try to keep hidden at any cost.   -Sue

What She Left Behind

In the 10 years since its happened Izzy refuses to visit her mother in prison, not wanting to understand what made her mother go crazy. Her new foster parents are employees of a museum and have asked Izzy to help them with a museum project at an old insane asylum. Such Good Company
by Carol Burnett

(Releases 9/13) A wonderful, delightful book about one of my all-time favorite shows! I enjoyed the behind-the-scenes thoughts and stories from the "sandbox". By sharing these memories with us, Carol Burnett not only made me laugh but also made me remember all the great times I shared with my family watching her show. Thank you Carol for letting us play in the sandbox with you, Harvey, Lyle, Vicky and Tim! If you're a fan of Carol and friends, you'll enjoy this book! -Lisa

A Time of Torment

by John Connolly

Once again John Connolly takes  you to an isolated and strange community in Maine called the CUT that is ruled by terror, intimidation, and murder. Charlie Parker, a private detective, is out to protect his client Jerome Burnel,

once a hero but now a hunted man.
A thriller that will keep you turning the pages!

-Ann

Heroes of the Frontier

by Dave Eggers

This is the story of a mother & her two children who take to the road in Alaska in a rickety RV. Josie, our mom on the run is in a full-on midlife crisis, having essentially lost everything she has worked toward, and is brimming with rage and disappointment. Her narration drives the book, as she reflects on her failed relationship, the disappointments of modern American society, and her charmingly idiosyncratic ideas for musicals. Paul and Ana, her children, are convincingly child like in their attitudes toward their mother & their situation. A very good read for those of us who may have contemplated what it would be like to leave it all behind & attempt to start again. -Kim
