Grace Period For New Form I-9 Ends |
|
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service has released an updated Form I-9 for verifying identity and employment authorization for new hires. The time period for transitioning to the new form has ended and employers could face fines between $110 and $1,100 per infraction for using the old form for employees hired after May 7. The form is now longer (nine pages including instructions), primarily to clarify sections that may have been confusing. Other changes include optional email and telephone boxes, more defined signature lines and individual boxes for the Social Security number to help prevent fraud. Further, the M-274 guide for completing the form has been updated. |

New Suncoast Workforce Career Center Opening July 1 |

New Career Center Location Opening July 1 |
We are pleased to announce that we will be moving from our current location in Manatee County to a new facility that will open on July 1, 2013. After an exhaustive search for office space that had the necessary capacity, was close to public transportation and our customer base, the site selected and approved by the Suncoast Workforce Board of Directors was 1112 Manatee Avenue East in Bradenton. This location was actually built as a Career Center that we occupied in 2001. We are thrilled to be moving back and we look forward to serving Manatee County residents from that location. |
