Building Education Series 2016 - Building Your Plan: Audits & Commisioning
Wednesday March 9, 2016
|
2 Continuing Education Credits approved for: AIA (HSW), LEED, CES, BOMA, ASHRAE, AEE Commercial building owners have heard the promises: A commercial energy audit will identify the places where you are using, or losing, the most energy and save 30-50% on operating expenses. Commissioning is a highly cost-effective way to verify that a building is performing the way it was intended to perform. The process identifies and remedies design flaws, construction defects, malfunctioning equipment, and other problems, repaying owners with lower energy bills and other benefits. That's the promise-but are you convinced, or is there an energy audit report sitting on the shelf that you are not utilizing?
Join us for a dynamic discussion on how to benefit most from a comprehensive energy audit and commissioning. Hear from a panel of engineers, building owners and audit and commissioning agents. This will provide a unique perspective, hearing from the building owner/manager how they selected their partners, what projects they implemented and the outcomes. A frank and open discussion on building operational efficiency.
* Learn what audits are and what they can reveal about a building
* Learn what commissioning is and what it can provide to the building owner
* Learn how building owners select partners to provide auditing and commissioning
* Learn from the building owner what their audits uncovered, how they decided on which projects to implement in their buildings and what the end result was from both a financial and operating position
