AIA Cleveland Sand Castle Competition & Volleyball Tournament
Saturday July 18th

AIA Cleveland is bringing back our annual summer festival that will bring architecture and design firm personnel and their families together with the public to celebrate design and enjoy the beach! The AIA Cleveland Sand Castle Competition and Beach Volleyball Tournament will take place at Edgewater Beach on Saturday, July 18th and feature a competition of more than two dozen sand castle and volleyball teams populated by Cleveland architecture, engineering, and construction firms.
Sand Castle Competition
The competition will team ACE mentees and Boys & Girls Club members with participating Cleveland firms to collaboratively develop and build their submission. Registration Fee is $150 per team. Scholarships will be awarded to the top three finishers.
Volleyball
Firms wishing to submit a team will be entered into a refereed double-elimination tournament that runs concurrent with the sand castle build. Registration is capped at 16 teams and the fee is $225. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.
Firms may submit more than one team and individuals may also assemble their own team. All proceeds of the event will benefit the ACE Cleveland Mentor Program.

Volunteers needed! We are searching for volunteers to serve as a one-on-one mentor to a recent ACE scholarship recipients through the College Now Greater Cleveland program. ACE would like to find these students a mentor from firms in our industry that are familiar with ACE which helps to maintain a strong connection with these graduates to promote co-op or job opportunities. It also keeps them connected to the construction industry and to ACE Cleveland for overall future support.

- AIA Ohio Gold Medal- the highest honor that AIA Ohio can bestow on an individual.
- AIA Ohio Gold Medal Firm - the highest honor that AIA Ohio can bestow on an architectural firm.
- AIA Ohio Mentor Award - the AIA Ohio Mentor Award will be given to an individual who has demonstrated the ability to assist and mentor.
- AIA Ohio Public Service Award - the AIA Ohio Public Service Award will be granted to an individual who has made a significant impact in their community.

Please join the ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland at Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio for the 6th Annual ACE Golf Classic. Your presence at this event will support the ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland to generate interest in architecture, construction, and engineering professions among Cleveland high school students. In addition to offering this support, you and your guests will be treated to a fun-filled and relaxing day of golf on one of Ohio's finest courses. Money raised will go directly to the ACE Cleveland Chapter to fund scholarships and operational costs.
