Dear fellow traveling families,
South Africa Special!

Welcome to the South African edition of our newsletter!

In this newsletter we are thrilled to highlight South Africa, which has been the most popular Quivertree destination for 2014!

 Why South Africa:

1. Fantastic family safaris - the only country in Africa where you enjoy a malaria free safari - ideal for families with young kids.

2. Great infrastructure - South Africa has excellent roads, shopping, telecommunications, hotels, restaurants. The ideal introduction to Africa for families.

3. Beaches, beaches and more beaches. With both Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean coastlines, South Africa has incredible beaches eveywhere.

4. Cape Town - rated as one of the top destinations in the world. History, architecture, culture, food and wine, and of course one of the most incredible natural settings for a city anywhere.

5. People - South Africans are friendly, gracious, eager to please and completely multicultural. A township tour in any of the large cities is an incredible Quivertree experience - unforgettable for the whole family.

6. Adventure - great hiking, shark cave diving, meerkat breakfasts and feeding ostriches - it's a never ending list of amazing once in a lifetime experiences!

Just another day at your safari lodge!

Some of our favorite South African experiences
Philip and Gideon know South Africa VERY well! Not only did they grow up there, they have taken their kids to South Africa many times. Here are some of their favorite South African experiences.
Incomparable Table Mountain
Our meerkat experience is unique! Imagine yourself in the middle of the veld, nobody else in sight, and 20 meerkats starting their day just a few feet away. Very, very special!

Boulders Beach with its vast penguin population and just outside Cape Town is naturally popular. But it's only one of many incredible South African beaches.

Some Quivertree South Africa trip photos
Quivertree families have been very busy traveling to South Africa recently. Here are some trip photos!

Below is the Zabin family on safari. Thanks to Al Zabin for his photo.
Next, Chad, Simona and kids Rachel and Zack were in South Africa on a Quivertree trip and they sent us that incredible photo they took of the lioness in the tree!

But South Africa has much, much more! Don, Danielle and their boys Wyatt, Graham and Owen, on their 5th Quivertree trip went shark cage diving!

Next Beth, Mark and kids Claire and Brendan had a real adventure in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe!
Canoe one of the great rivers of Africa. South Africa has fantastic canoe trips in the vast Richtersveld National Park
