Own Lake Tahoe's Newest Icon
An estimated three million visitors gaze upon beautiful Lake Tahoe each year but very few are able to call Lake Tahoe home, and even fewer are able to live in a lakeview home like this one. Imagine gazing out upon the lake from this gorgeous Glenbrook home for sale!
This is one of most panoramic lakeview homes I've ever been in, even better than most lake front homes. You look to the left, you see the south shore, you look to your right and you see the north shore, straight ahead is the west shore and at your feet is the east shore. This home is on highest point in Glenbrook, you can just imagine what's its like when standing at a vista point like this one.
37 South Point Place is a brand new contemporary style home that is perched on it's own knoll in Uppaway Estates, giving the owners 270+ degrees of sweeping views of Lake Tahoe. Be the first to call this masterpiece home.
Watch the video tour of this beautiful home.
Offered at $4,500,000.

Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority Reaches Settlement to Save Fireworks
Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority (LTVA) announced that an agreement has been reached to dismiss the lawsuit, ensuring South Lake Tahoe's future fireworks celebrations will continue.
"Preserving the 4th of July and Labor Day shows and keeping Lake Tahoe and its beaches clean are of the utmost importance to our community," said LTVA Executive Director Carol Chaplin. The parties are pleased that a settlement to dismiss the lawsuit was reached and the 4th of July and Labor Day shows will continue. As part of the agreement, local agencies will oversee the post-show cleanup of firework debris and a hot-line will be set up for residents to report firework debris that needs to be removed.
The intentions of the the private, Lake Tahoe residents who filed the lawsuit were not for monetary gain, but were simply to help keep Lake Tahoe and it's beaches clean. We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in bringing this to an amicable conclusion. It's a win for the community.

Kingsbury Grade Closing to Through Traffic in May, September and October
A year and a half road construction project will result in the closure of Kingsbury Grade for almost 75 days this year and more in 2015. Since this will have an impact on local businesses, residents and commuters, a forum was held in order to inform the community about the impact.
A full house was on hand in the TahoeChamber conference room to listen to representatives from Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) and the road construction company.
The project on State Route 207 (Kingsbury Grade) will include repaving, installation of curbs, ADA compliant sidewalks and gutters. Kingsbury General Improvement District (KGID) will also be working on water pipes in the area during the same time. Visit South Tahoe Now for the full article.
If you live on Kingsbury Grade you have or will be issued a pass that will allow you to drive over the summit into Carson Valley.

Dan's Lake Tahoe Recommended Business for the Month of April
Cafe Fiore has become my wife's and my favorite restaurant in South Lake Tahoe. It is super intimate with only 7 tables and the food is delicious. My go-to on the menu is the swordfish and my wife Jana's favorite dish is the Chicken Sonoma and the garlic bread appetizer. When you dine at Cafe Fiore don't forget to treat yourself to the homemade vanilla ice cream!
Cafe Fiore has the best wine selection in town, probably due to Nick, the owner being a connoisseur. In fact, he knows his wines so well, I think he could be a sommelier!
