Lightweight truck technology at WTS17
 To promote the use of work truck fuel savings through lightweighting and productivity technology, Green Truck Association (GTA) and its Lightweight Technology Council, as part of NTEA, are showcasing products and equipment, as well as educating the work truck industry at The Work Truck Show ® 2017.
The Lightweight and Advanced Technology Demo Trucks Display (March 15-17, 2017 at the Indiana Convention Center) will highlight components and technology of participating companies that result in fuel and emissions benefits. Learn more.

EPA certifies bi-fuel CNG system for GM, Isuzu cabovers
AGA Systems has received Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification of its EcoSync HD Bi-Fuel CNG alternative-fuel system for the 2017 General Motors Vortec 6.0L engine that's used in the Isuzu NPR and Chevrolet Low Cab Forward trucks. Full story

Ford plans Hybrid F-150 truck and Mustang, electric SUV
Ford Motor Co. announced a sweeping strategy to add electric and hybrid vehicles to its global fleet, including fuel-saving hybrid versions of its most famous nameplates - the F-150 pickup truck and the Mustang sports car. Full story

DOE invests millions to speed alt-fuel development
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced $18 million in support of five projects for research, development and demonstration of new plug-in electric vehicle and direct-injection propane engine technologies. In addition, community-based projects will receive funding to accelerate the adoption of light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles that operate on fuels such as biodiesel, electricity, E85, hydrogen, natural gas and propane. Earth Day Coalition presents alt-fuel fleet workshops
The Earth Day Coalition received funding from the Ohio Environmental Education Fund to produce the Reducing Geenhouse Gas Emissions project, which will include three Fuel for Thought workshops designed for local fleet directors and one Workforce Development Opportunity in Alternative Fuels workshop for area educators.
