New and improved IdleBox tool to aid in reduction of idling
The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Argonne National Laboratory, with the support of the DOE Clean Cities program, relaunched IdleBox, an electronic education and outreach toolkit aimed at promoting idling reduction across the country. NREL report finds hydrogen fuel cell bus fuel economy up to 1.4x that of diesel, 1.9x CNG
DOE's Fuel Cell Technology Office released the latest edition of an annual report showing that the average fuel economy of fuel cell electric buses from three fleets is 6.8 miles per diesel gallon equivalent. Full story

The biodiesel industry welcomed the publication of the DOE's fifth edition of the Biodiesel Handling and Use Guide, developed in conjunction with the DOE Clean Cities program.
