VCC to hold CNG training, certification course
Virginia Clean Cities (VCC), sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy in accordance with the Energy Policy Act of 1992, will hold a training and certification course on compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, associated regulations, component and line fabrications, driver education requirements and diagnostic testing components. The course runs Aug. 22-26, 2016, in partnership with TFC Recycling in Chesapeake, Virginia. Read more.
FHWA invites states to designate "zero-emission" and "alternative fuel" corridors

New X15 engine offers high performance, economy, reliability
Cummins' next-generation X15 heavy-duty diesel series will offer new value through economy, performance, reliability and support when it replaces existing ISX15 models in January 2017. A year later, a new X12 will supersede the current ISX12. Read more.
M-B Class 8 electric truck to be tested in urban delivery service
Mercedes-Benz developed a prototype heavy-duty electric distribution truck for "short radius" use in Germany and elsewhere. According to the company, it or trucks like it could be in production by 2020 or soon thereafter. Read more.
