The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Nexus is a business-to-business website that will connect hydrogen and fuel cell companies to strengthen this zero-emission energy sector and pave the way for partnerships and economic enhancement. Read more.
XL Hybrids receives industry-first approval from CARB for incentive vouchers
XL Hybrids Inc. (Boston, Massachusetts) received approval from the California Air Resources Board for the first California Heavy Duty Voucher Incentive Project vehicle eligibility allowing significant discounts for aftermarket conversions of gasoline-powered General Motors 2500 and 3500 passenger and cargo vans into hybrid electric vehicles. Read more.
Indianapolis Public Schools refreshes fleet with 100 new propane buses
Lisle, Illinois-based IC Bus, a wholly owned subsidiary of Navistar Inc., says it will fulfill an order by Indianapolis Public Schools for 100 CE Series school buses powered by the Power Solutions International (PSI) 8.8-liter LP propane engine. Read more.
Greenkraft offers Allison Transmission for alternative fuel trucks
Alternative fuel truck and fuel system manufacturer Greenkraft (Santa Ana, California) now offers fully automatic Allison Transmissions on its medium-duty trucks. The first line of trucks with Allison Transmissions is available in GVWRs of 19,500 to 26,000 pounds with other versions in development for trucks of up to 33,000 pounds GVWR. Read more.
OSU builds CNG station to further sustainability efforts
Ohio State University has broken ground on a new compressed natural gas station on-site to serve the university's Department of Transportation and Traffic Management and the City of Columbus, according to a university report. Read more.
