Kiessling Transit orders 32 more Lightning Hybrids hydraulic units
Lightning Hybrids received an order from Norfolk, Massachusetts-based Kiessling Transit for 32 hydraulic units. The order almost doubles the number of hydraulic hybrid buses in Kiessling's fleet. Read more.

Alliance AutoGas launches conversion system for Ram ProMaster
The Alliance AutoGas-engineered single-plug connector, no cut or drill fuel system, installed on a Ram ProMaster, was displayed at Government Fleet Expo. The Ram ProMaster features a 16-gallon underbody autogas tank with the conversion system. Read more.
Colorado Governor signs legislation to simplify tax credits for AFVs
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed legislation that will simplify and expand existing tax credits for taxpayers who purchase vehicles powered by alternative fuels, including electric, hydrogen and compressed natural gas. The legislation, H.B.16-1332, provides between $5,000 and $20,000 for the purchase or conversion of an alternative fuel vehicle (AFV), depending on whether it is a light-, medium- or heavy-duty vehicle. NAFTC offers propane autogas vehicle technician training courses
The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) launched a course to give automotive service technicians an in-depth look at servicing and maintaining propane-autogas-powered vehicles. The course was designed to help fill a need for qualified technicians who can adapt, service and maintain the alternative fuel systems. Read more.
North American PEV market to grow 62 percent year over year
The North American plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market in 2016 is expected to grow by around 62 percent year over year, nearing 200,000 sales, according to a new report from Navigant Research. Read more.
