Cummins to build plug-in hybrid Class 6 truck
Cummins was awarded a $4.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop a Class 6 commercial plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The truck must reduce fuel consumption by at least 50% compared to conventional Class 6 vehicles. Read more.
FedEx boosts fleet fuel efficiency 
FedEx hopes to increase fuel efficiency in its vehicle fleet by 30% by 2020 by increasing the number of alternative-fuel vehicles, shifting freight trips to rail, and optimizing routing, according to the company's 2016 sustainability report. Read more
ROUSH debuts propane autogas system for the Ford F-750
In an effort to meet growing demand for alternative-fuel-powered, medium-duty trucks, ROUSH CleanTech developed a propane autogas fuel system for the Ford F-750 chassis that costs less than similar diesel counterparts. Read more.
CleanFUEL USA files for bankruptcy
CleanFUEL USA, a manufacturer of alternative fuel equipment for propane autogas, announced it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to seek the restructure of its debts. Read more.
