Sign Your Guests In - Club presidents, remember it is the club that is responsible for letting in and signing in their guests. It should not be the monitor's responsibility to let them in and then have them sign in. An example is a speaker coming to your club. A club member should let them into the building and have them sign in. Thank you.

Update from the Future Housing Committee - thank you for the huge participation in our focus groups and survey. We have also been gathering input from our amazing Ambassadors who are requesting and recording comments about what visitors like about our housing stock as well as what they might like to have available. During the summer, members of our committee will be discussing and analyzing all of this data, as well as integrating it into one comprehensive report. After the report is accepted by the committee, we will hold a community meeting to report to you what we heard, and ask one more time if you have anything to add. This may not happen until the fall, depending on how long the process takes. Finally, we will develop recommendations for the Board. Stay tuned, there is progress being made, even if you aren't seeing it at the present time.

Proof Your Telephone Directory Entry - Many changes were made as of 4-28-17, after requests for new additions, changes, removals. Please "quality control" Carolyn Lerch and let her know of any corrections. Please, please look at your listing online  to be sure it is current and correct (log onto the website first). About July 1, the online website directory will be posted to look like the book that will be printed so it is very important for everyone to double and triple check the data. As an FYI, the created "white residential pages" are not available anywhere online except within our own SCOV website. You can reach Carolyn at 520-818-3319 or gclerch@comcast.net.

Report Injuries on SCOV Property - Anytime a resident is hurt, while on SCOV property, it should be reported immediately to that facility monitor. The monitor will fill out an incident report. All incident reports are reviewed. We ask for your cooperation to make sure the person is OK.

PROJECT UPDATE: Desert Oasis Renovation - The DO Reno Committee has spent several months listening to residents, gathering wants and needs. An architect is designing the schematic for the exterior showers and restroom. A designer is developing a design scheme. These will be reviewed in the coming meetings.

Buyer Beware
- When selecting a roofing company be sure to confirm the company performing the work is licensed, bonded and insured. Check for complaints filed against the company with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Their website provides a list contractors and a list of individuals to avoid. There are those out there intentionally taking advantage of consumers. Be diligent advocating for yourself when selecting a contractor. The SCOV Consumer Referral list also provides a good source of contractors.
