For Your Information
FACILITY HOURS - LABOR DAY, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
AFC 5am - 9pm       Desert Oasis 9am to 4pm
Catalina Vista, Activity Center, Welcome Center & Library will be closed

NEW INSTRUCTOR - We are happy to announce that we have a new instructor to teach our Core class Karen Yee-Lee.  Rebecca will be moving and unable to continue to teach at SCOV.  The classes will have small time changes. The Monday class will start at 5:30 pm and the Wednesday class will start at 3 pm. This class has been growing and we are pleased to have it continue. We will make an announcement as to what date Karen will start to teach these classes.

CATERING - As of August 23, SCOV will no longer offer catering services.  Events with a signed contract will be fulfilled, but any events on the calendar without a contract have been cancelled.  The purpose of this action is to focus on the expanded services in the restaurant, lounge & terrace.  If you are unsure about the status of your event, please contact Chris Sapp at 917-8074.

TIPSTER NOTE - Order of Clubs has changed. Over the years the Tipster Editorial Committee has heard concerns from readers who have difficulty finding specific club articles. Because of this the order of clubs was changed to match that used on SCOV website.  Also note a new Table of Contents on page three that directs the reader to specific club categories. Enjoy reading your Tipster.

ONLINE BULLETIN BOARD - Do you have items to sell or want to buy? Have you checked out our on-line bulletin board? Go to suncityorovalley.com>News & Info>Bulletin Board. New items to sell or buy are added on a regular basis.

PROJECT UPDATES
  1. Restaurant - The concrete steps passed inspection and we now have a Certificate of Occupancy.  The final details are being completed.  We are now focusing on replacing the irrigation system and addressing the landscaping around the area.  Also being addressed is a privacy screen for the newly installed solar electrical boxes on the north side of the building.

    2.    Solar - Behind the Welcome Center are three arrays, one is completed, one should be completed by the end of the week or early next week and the third should be done by the end of next week.  Installation will then move to the Activity Center parking lot with anticipated completion in 2-3 weeks.

3.    Catalina Vista - Beginning September 6, the three meeting rooms will be closed for work.  The updates will include new flooring, partitions, window coverings, a new AV system, additional lighting and updated kitchen appliances.  Special recognition and thanks to the ILR for their generous grant towards this project.

Renting Your Home?
Did you know your membership cards are non-transferable and may only be used by you? Your renters cannot use your cards.

1.    Before any renter(s) cards are issued, we MUST have your membership cards on file in the office AND your HOA dues must be up to date.

2.    There is a form that must be completed by you and returned by your renter(s) when they come in to receive their renter's cards. Please find this form on the website www.scovaz.com Go to Association, Governing Documents and click on Renter/Delegated Form.

3.    The issuance fee for a renter card is $25 for up to two cards and that is good for the length of the lease.

4.    Please be advised the front office will not keep on file any future rental agreements. It is the responsibility of the renter to submit all paperwork upon arrival to SCOV.

Please contact the administration office with any questions - 520-825-3711.
