Projects update: There is little news to report on the projects other than all projects are coming along as expected. The latest word from W.E. O'Neil, the restaurant contractor, is that we're still on schedule to have the restaurant open this Saturday. In the meantime, the beverage cart is selling sandwiches, snacks and various beverages. In addition, an August completion date is projected for the entire restaurant project and an early July possibly sooner for a lounge completion. When the lounge is completed, the plan is to open it and close the restaurant.

SCOV Community Telephone Directory: The website/online directory has been updated. Everyone needs to review his/her listing to ensure that your phone numbers are correct. This online directory from my database is very close to what will be printed in the book. Be aware that I know there are phone numbers that you do not want in the actual book and those are marked on my database. Again, please let me know if you see any needed corrections or clarifications to the resident listing but also to the first 44 pages of the book.  It is probably easiest to email me at this point and please be very clear about the corrections or additions necessary. Thank you! Carolyn Lerch gclerch@comcast.net

Notwithstanding the foregoing, any of the above described vehicles may be stored on a Lot or Parcel provided a garage or enclosed shelter for each vehicle is approved by the Architectural Review Committee and is constructed as an integral part of the dwelling or substructure and is maintained in the same manner as all other parts of the Unit(s) constructed thereon. The Architectural Review Committee may, however, at its discretion, determine local limitations as to size and shape of such vehicles to be stored, and such storage areas may not be permitted on certain individual Lots solely on the merits of the overall aesthetic impact for that Lot, regardless of the fact that other Lots with other building designs, terrain features, and locations may have been given approval for like or similar structures for like or similar vehicles.
The provisions of this Section shall not apply to cleaning, loading or unloading and short-term parking which shall be permitted for a cumulative period not to exceed seventy two (72) hours in any calendar month.
Motor Vehicles, No automobile, motorcycle, motorbike or other motor vehicle shall be constructed, reconstructed or repaired upon any Lot, Parcel or street in Sun City Vistoso, and no inoperable vehicle may be stored or parked on any such Lot, Parcel or street, so as to be Visible From Neighboring Property or to be visible from Common Areas or streets; provided, however, that the provisions of this Section shall not apply to: i) emergency vehicle repairs or temporary construction shelters or facilities maintained during, and used exclusively in connection with, the construction of any improvement approved by the Architectural Review Committee; ii) any automobile repair business which may be permitted in any General Commercial or Shopping Center Land Use Classification; iii) the parking of such vehicles during normal business in areas designated for parking in a non-residential Land Use Classification; and iv) vehicles parked in garages on Lots or Parcels so long as such vehicles are in good operating condition and appearance and are not under repair.
Parking it is the intent of the Declarant to restrict on-street parking as much as possible. Vehicles of all Owners, Occupants and Residents, and of their employees, guests and invitees, are to be kept in garages, carports, residential driveways of the Owner, and other designated parking areas wherever and whenever such facilities are sufficient to accommodate the number of vehicles at a Lot or Parcel; provided, however, this Section shall not be construed to permit the parking in the above described areas of any vehicle whose parking on Sun City Vistoso is otherwise prohibited or the parking of any inoperable vehicle.

Kids are not allowed to drive carts:
For all of you grandparents who love your grandchildren, please note the following
in Arizona, no child under the age of 14 is allowed to drive a golf cart. Many children under the age of 14 have been seen driving golf carts in Sun City. This is a very dangerous practice and should be given a second thought when your grandchild asks if he/she can drive!
Here is some food for thought:
1.  Who has their foot on the pedal?  You or a child?
2.  Who has their hands on the steering wheel?  You or a child?
3.  Who has control of this vehicle?  No one!!!
Please think of this before allowing your grandchild to drive!
