No Shows at The Views Restaurant special dinners: No shows at the Restaurants special dinners and events are harmful to everyone. Why? First, dinners are prepared for every person who has a reservation. When a party does not show, the food that was prepared for them goes to waste, which is paid for by all of you. Second, nearly every special dinner has a waiting list. So, when a party doesn't show, the people on the waiting list do not have an opportunity to enjoy the special dinner. The bottom line is if you can't make one of these special dinner, please, please contact the Restaurant in advance and let them know that you'll not be able to make the dinner.

Roof inspections will begin soon on the roofs where the solar panels will be installed. Any work that is needed on the roofs such as tile underlayment replacement will take place before solar panel installation is initiated. The installation is still expected to begin in April or May.
Slow it down: SCOV is an area where there are many golf carts and walkers, which means speeding in a vehicle can have deadly result. Please keep in mind that only Sun City Blvd, Del Webb and Rancho Vistoso Blvd have a 35 MPH speed limit and all other roads in the SCOV area have a 25 mph limit. Keep to that speed and your keep yourself and your neighbors safe.
Creating an account on the new website just became easier! Learn how here. Once you become a registered member of the website, you will be able to access everything under the MEMBERS section, including (but not limited to) SCOV documents, Board of Directors agendas and minutes, financials, forms for your home, the vendor list, the community directory and so much more! 3. There is a new form that must be completed by you and returned by your renter(s) when they come in to receive their Cards. Please find this form here  or on the website at scovaz.com>member services>rent your home. There is a $25 renter registration fee.
  4. Please be advised the front office will not keep on file any future rental agreements. It is the responsibility of the renter to submit all paperwork upon arrival to SCOV.
  5. Please contact the administration office with any questions - 520-825-3711.
The Board invites you: The Board of Directors wants to invite you to each and every Study Session and Board Meeting. Your thoughts and input are important and one of the best ways to be heard is by attending these monthly meetings. In addition, to this invitation the Board would like you to stop by the meetings 15 minutes before the meetings begin so you and the Board Members can have an opportunity for a casual conversation. This pre-meeting period will give you an opportunity to have one-on-one time with Board Members so you can either talk about light social issues or an Association related issue that may be very important to you. The next Board Study Session will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 9 a.m. in the Welcome Center, Conference Room 3. Please stop by a little early.
Forum for Membership Bylaw & CC&Rs amendments vote: Two forums will be held to explain the proposed amendments to your SCOV Master Declaration and Bylaws. One will be held on Wednesday, February 17th at 10 a.m. and the other on Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:30 p.m. Both forums will be in the Activity Center Auditorium. Please plan to attend one of these forums so you can hear about these proposed changes first-hand.
Friends of the Library The Books and Authors Luncheon will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at Noon in the Auditorium, with bestselling authors Margaret Coel and Lynn Cullen speaking and signing books. Tickets will be on sale Tuesday, February 9, Wednesday, February 10, and Thursday, February 11 from 9 AM to Noon in the Activity Center.
American Red Cross Blood Drive: Sun City Oro Valley's next drive is Thursday, February 18, 8-11 AM, Auditorium.  Did you know that a patient could be forced to pass up a lifesaving organ if compatible blood is not available to support the transplant?  Find the hero in you; donate blood by scheduling an appointment.  Call the Red Cross 1-800-448-3543 or visit redcrossblood.org.
Swimming lane sign up: There has been some confusion for signing in for use of lap lanes at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. You can sign up for a lane when you arrive. You cannot sign in for a lane to be used later in the day. An example is you cannot sign up for a swim lane at 8 a.m. for use of a lane at 3pm.  Remember if all lanes are full you need to share a lane. There are certain times when clubs are using lanes and unless you are participating with a club, you cannot sign in for those lanes.  Please see the activity sheet in the monthly Tipster for days and times that those clubs are using the swim lanes.
Household Items Donations Requested: Saturday, March 26 from 7 am - noon the SCOV Women's Auxiliary supporting Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse will have several tables with gently used household and decorator items for sale at the SCOV Courtyard sale. Donations of household and decoration type items can be made to Pat Herman or Karen Koch. Please call Pat at 760-668-0432 or Karen at 520-825-4450 to make a donation. All net proceeds from this sale go to Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse of Tucson.
Quilt show registration will be held Monday, February 8 and Friday, February 12 from 9am -Noon in the lobby of the activity center. All residents of Sun City may enter quilts, wall-hangings and any handmade Christmas stockings which will be our special display this year. Call Carol 404-1462 if further information is needed.
