The following golf packages are available for purchase at the Administration office: 18 & 9-hole 10-punch punch cards; 18 & 9-hole 1, 3 & 4-month unlimited golf passes; 18 & 9-hole unlimited golf passes that are good thru 6/30/16 (prorated for FIRST time pass holders). Putting Challenge & Raffle Money Tree: Benefiting the University of Arizona Foundation/AZ Cancer Center. Come test your putting skills. Try your luck at winning money on our tree. $1 for 3 chances to putt and WIN A PRIZE! Raffle chances are $5 each. Dates/Times: Tuesday, February 9 - 10:15-11:15 AM; Wednesday, February 10, 7:15- 8:15 AM, and 11:45-12:45 PM; Thursday, February 11, 7:15-8:15 AM, 10 AM-11:15 AM. Location: The Views Golf Club. Cure for Cancer Golf Tournament: February 16. Sponsored by The Views Women's Nine-Hole Golf Club. All proceeds and donations go to the University of Arizona Foundation/Arizona Cancer Center. If you would like to sponsor a hole or dedication card for your friend or family member, call Janet Kimble at 825-3172. This event has raised over $45,000 since 1999 for cancer research at the U of A. Donations welcome! Make checks payable to the UAF/Arizona Cancer Center. A tax-deductible acknowledgement will be provided by mail. Your name and address should be provided for a return receipt. Registration at 10:30 AM; Group Photo 11:15 AM; shotgun start (9 hole & 18 Tournament) 11:30 AM; Awards & Happy hour 4 - 6:30 PM.

Projects Update: The only new information available since last week's report is that bids are being secured for the asphalt work to provide handicap restroom access for the Pro Shop. The restaurant and solar projects are proceeding as previously noted.
OREGONIANS.....your party is next Tuesday, February 2 at the Views Restaurant, 5PM, for lots of fun, good food, and FRIENDS. REMODELING FORUM: Helpful Hints from HOMEOWNERS, REALTORS and CONTRACTORS Mark Your Calendars! Saturday, February 13, 9:30 AM, Activity Center/Navajo & Hohokam. Come and participate in the discussion of the ins and outs of remodeling homes in SCOV. Slow It Down: SCOV is an area where there are many golf carts and walkers, which means speeding in a vehicle can have deadly results. Please keep in mind that the primary roads in the SCOV area have a 35 mph limit and the other roads (most streets) have a 25 mph limit. Keep to that speed and keep yourself and your neighbors safe.
Pancake Breakfast Reminder:  Don't forget the CAC Loan Room Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 30th, serving from 7:30 AM to 9 AM.  Come and enjoy a wonderful breakfast with your neighbors and support this cause!  The Loan Room is there for your benefit and a unique service to SCOV residents.  Tickets are available at the door - $5 for pancakes, ham, applesauce, orange juice, coffee!   See you there!

IRA Scam: If you receive an email from the "IRS" advising you to respond and submit your current contact information in order to get your tax refund, please be aware that this is a scam. Your proper contact information will be provided to the IRS when you file your tax, not through email communication to an email address in Mexico.The scam message that has been sent out is:
"It has come to our attention that your Information records are recently changed. That requires you to verify your Billing Information. Failure to validate your information may result to your tax termination and you will not be allowed to file this year tax refund. To verify your information, Please Download Attachment and open in a browser to Continue. We value your privacy and your preferences.
Failure to abide by these instructions may subject you to tax refund restrictions and you may not be allowed to file this year tax refund.

Minnesota Club: Everyone who likes Minnesota, has lived there, went to school there, or  if they have even flown over are invited to our annual MN party.  Ticket sales -- Feb 1-2 (Mon-Tues) from 9-11 am both days in the Activity Center.  Party is Feb 20, 5:30 Happy Hour and 6:30 Dinner followed by entertainment.  Catered by The Views Restaurant, music by Retro Swing 7 (dancing encouraged).
Gift cards, Pro Shop and Restaurant: Although we have information in the Tipster on a constant basis, it came to my attention that many residents don't realize that gift cards can be purchased for The Views Golf Club at the Pro Shop and The Views Restaurant at the restaurant.
Town of Oro Valley Council Meetings: Did you know that you can attend the Council meetings on-line and/or access previously held meetings? It's easy, just to the Town website at https://www.orovalleyaz.gov/ then to "On-line service" and you're there.
