Although the Café/Lounge plan was presented to the membership months ago by the Long Range Planning Committee, considerable necessary improvements have been incorporated into the current plan. As a result, you're encourage to attend the upcoming presentation so that you can see and hear about a more detailed plan than the one that was previously presented. New Pro Shop project: Work continues on the Pro Shop. As of this writing, we're still waiting for the fire suppression system. In spite of that, a large portion of the system has been installed with the blessings of the Town of Oro Valley. In addition to that work, many tasks have been completed or in progress such as installation of electrical components, drop ceiling grid, carpet, front counter, etc.

New SCOV Community Phone Directory has a Change of Delivery Date thereforewe nowwill meetFriday, Oct. 30, 12:30 PM, Auditorium. Volunteersneeded to help us organize and deliver the SCOV Community Phone Directory to each home. Please contact Carolyn Lerch at gclerch@comcast.net

Driver's license: The fact that the motor vehicle department does not notify individuals when their license expires was brought to my attention recently by more than one resident. So, I thought that it may be valuable to send out a quick note on this and suggest that everyone check your license for an expiration date.

Golf Course Walkers: If you're one of the many residents who enjoy walking on the golf course, you may have noticed that the posted time for the evening is a little too late. The issue here is that the signs that were ordered last year are signs that have both the morning and evening hours on one sign. This kind of sign limits the choices of time that can be posted. In order to resolve this issue and have more flexible walking times posted that will coordinate with tee-times and sunset, signs with individual times for morning and evening have been ordered. I expect these signs to be received within the next few days. As soon as the new signs arrive they will be posted. In the meantime, walkers may enter the course at 5 p.m. Keep in mind that no matter what time walkers enter the course during the late afternoon/evening there may be golfers on the course who have priority. So, if a golfer is preparing to hit or is hitting his/her ball, it's essential that you step aside into a safe area and yield to the golfer.
