Recent burglary in SCOV: Although SCOV is one of the safest communities in Arizona, it's not crime proof. So, I wanted to make you aware of this recent crime and remind everyone to take precautions. Keep your home and cars locked. Everyone needs to watch for strange activities and don't be hesitant about reporting unusual activity to the OVPD. If you plan to be away for at least seven day, a good idea is to sign up for the OVPD Dark House program. For more information call 229-5080.

Meet the candidates: Sunday, July 12 at 2 PM in the Auditorium, SCOV residents will have the opportunity to meet Oro Valley Town Council candidates Steve Didio, Ryan Hartung and Shirl Lamonna. Learn who they are and why they are running. Those wishing to can sign their petitions to get them on the November ballot. Refreshments will be served. This event is not sponsored or endorsed by the SCOV Community Association.

Did you lose some jewelry? During the process of reorganizing the Library spaces for the on-going renovation, a couple pieces of jewelry were uncovered. It is believed they were found in the Library three or more years ago. If you feel one of the items may be yours, please talk to Kate Cusumano in the Library.

Join the Sun City Democratic Club on Saturday July 11 at 1 PM in the Navajo Room (Activity Center) for a presentation that crosses all party lines...WATER!  Our guest speaker will be Mitch Basefsky of the Central Arizona Project (CAP).  CAP is designed to bring about 1.5 million acre-feet of Colorado River water per year to Pima, Pinal and Maricopa counties. It carries water from Lake Havasu near Parker to the southern boundary of the San Xavier Indian Reservation southwest of Tucson. Hear about the current situation with water shortages on the Colorado River and the impending drought declaration.  Find out what it will mean to you.  Get the most up-to-date information to keep you well informed on water issues in our area!   RSVPs appreciated but not required!  Questions?  Contact club president Maureen Salz at 520-240-0049 or mosalz@outlook.com.

Pro Shop Construction Flow...Beginning Monday, July 6, traffic flow around the pro shop was modified for construction of the new cart parking lot and the pro shop as indicated in the picture below.
