Board Action at April 28th Board Meeting: To best assure that there are no accidents in the pools, the Board approved mandatory use of swim diapers along with a water resistant coverings under swim suits for children who are not potty trained and incontinent adults. The Board also approved construction of a new pro shop not to exceed $259,000 from the Capital Fund, which means no special assessment will be needed. Last but not least, the Board approved the 2015-16 SCOV Budget which reflects zero increase in dues. Therefore, dues will remain at $1620 per year.

 

State and Town Update Event: Arizona Legislature District 11 Senator Steve Smith and Representatives Mark Finchem and Vince Leach will report on what was or was not accomplished in the 2015 session and share their ideas for 2016. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 5 at 2 PM in the Auditorium at Sun City Oro Valley located at 1495 E Rancho Vistoso Blvd in Oro Valley.

 

Oro Valley Town Councilmember Mike Zinkin will provide an update on the Town that will include information on the 2015-16 budget and the expected purchase of the El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Club.

 

There should be ample time for Q&A, and this will be a great opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas with these elected officials. It is sponsored by the Government Affairs Committee in SCOV and the public are invited to attend.

Summer hours start May 1. The pro shop will be open Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday - Monday 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The driving range hours will be 6 AM - one hour before dusk every day except Thursday when the range will close at 3 PM.
