Proposed Café and Lounge Project Presentation for Residents, Saturday, April 25, 2PM, Auditorium: The Long Range Planning Committee will present its proposal for creation of a lounge in the area currently occupied by the Pro Shop, which is being relocated. Why is a lounge being created?  What will it look like?  What is its importance to the community? How will it be paid for? This presentation, requested by the Board of Directors, will answer those questions and more. Committee members will discuss the reasons for and process involved in creating the proposal, and the architect will present his drawings. Resident questions are invited and can be submitted immediately following the presentation or in advance by emailing Leslie Platt at bplatt38@comcast.net.

Shred-It Event: It's that time again---tax time! The Foundation is sponsoring a Shred-It day to help you clear out all those unnecessary documents. The Shred-It truck will be in the Activity Center Parking Lot between 9 and 11 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2014. Please bring all your sensitive personal documents in plastic or paper bags for shredding. Please, no magazines, newspaper, or junk mail!  This service is to assist the residents of SCOV with correct disposal of old financial records, old checks, or any items with Social Security or Bank account numbers. This service is for SCOV residents only-you will be asked to show your SCOV identity card upon arrival. Proper shredding helps prevent identity theft.

Symphony Wind Quintet: This Sunday, the 18th, we are proud to have in our Auditorium the Tucson Symphony Wind Quintet. It is always a pleasure to have a performance from the symphony in our community. Tickets are available at the Welcome Center and tickets will be sold at the door, $15 pp. If paying at the door please have correct change and checks made payable to SCOV. Doors open at 1:30pm performance at 2pm. Theater seating, no food or drinks.

Telephone Directory:  The online website directory is available now in Members Only (and now contains both email addresses if given to Carolyn).  A listing of the New Residents is there also but only if new residents have given the information.  A big thank you to the mystery community helpers who call or email when they find an incorrect number in the Helpful Information. Certainly helps me! Carolyn Lerch at 818-3319 or gclerch@comcast.net

Leaving For The Summer? If you are leaving for the summer and want your mail sent somewhere besides your SCOV address you are required to submit that change to us IN WRITING OR THROUGH OUR ONLINE FORM. This is a new procedure to assure that we are all on the same page. If you would like to submit via an online form please stop by the Administration Office and ask for the Change of Address form.
