Questions, comments, etc. regarding This Week's SCOV Report: If you have a question, comment or other response that you would like to make regarding an item in this report, you may reply to this message. Depending on the nature of your response (comment, question, etc.), I will acknowledge your reply, answer your questions or take other appropriate action(s) in as timely a manner as possible.

Report Content: I thought it may be worthwhile noting that a good percentage of the content in these weekly reports are generated by committees or requests from residents. I make the decision as to what is included in the reports and typically include the vast majority of requests unless deemed to be unrelated to the Association or grossly inappropriate for the report. So, when reading these weekly reports, keep in mind that much of the information and composition comes from a number of sources.

Vote for The Views: There is still time to vote in The Explorer newspaper Best of the Northwest contest for Sun City & The Views Golf Club. Both won last year, so let's do it again! If you think we are the best, please place your votes here. You will need to select "Retirement Living" and "Sports and Recreation, Best Golf Course."

Café/Beverage Cart service: In an effort to best serve golfers and all patrons, we're continually making adjustments to our service. In last week's report, I mentioned that we'll have an employee staff the bar area during the lunch hours to help serve patrons who eat at the bar and golfers who need quick service at the turn. After reviewing this approach, it appears that it will be best to have the bar area staffed on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On the weekends, the person who staffs the bar area will be on the beverage cart during the busy lunch time. Keep in mind that we'll review how this approach works and if further changes are needed to better serve you, those changes will be made.

Let's Slow Down: Many of our homeowners need a reminder that the speed limit on our interior streets is 25 MPH, and in some cases, even marked as 15 MPH. We have walkers and golf carts out every day, and we need to be extra careful when driving our cars and trucks through SCOV. Many vehicles drive way too fast! Please observe the speed limit and slow down as you drive in our community. Please keep SCOV a safe place in which to live, and let's slow down!

Scam: If you receive a letter in the mail advising you that you will receive an Android Touchpad Tablet at no charge, it's a scam. In the case brought to my attention, the return address had the name of Debra Long in Daytona Beach, Florida.
