Questions, comments, etc. regarding This Week's SCOV Report: If you have a question, comment or other response that you would like to make regarding an item in this report, you may reply to this message. Pickleball/Bocce Ball: Other than the completion of the cart path by the pickleball courts, there are no updates regarding these projects.

Golfer service at the turn: Over at least the past couple of years a number of changes and attempts have been made in the Cafe to provide quick service to the golfers when they make the turn while playing golf. To be perfectly honest, nothing that has been put into place thus far has accomplished the goal of providing fast service. So, another attempt at providing quick service will be made beginning the week of December 8th. The new approach, will be to station the beverage cart near the practice green from 11 AM to 1 PM when most golfers make the turn who may be seeking food and/or beverages. The cart will be stationed near the practice green every day except Tuesday. On most days, the cart will also perform rounds on the course before and after the 11 to 1 period of time. For many if not most golfers who want a drink, hot dog or snack, the cart should provide the fast service necessary so those golfers can get back on the course quickly.

PROPOSED Paint Colors: You may or may not have had the opportunity to view the new PROPOSED paint colors for the community posted on the wall in the Activity Center. The Paint Sub-Committee has completed extensive research of like communities around us and have based their recommendations on that research. Flexibility and keeping our community looking new was the objective. The new pallets meet both objectives. The committee would like your input on the colors being presented. Ballots along with the Ballot Box are available for you to fill out and share your preferences. You will have the opportunity to vote now and until early January. Your input will be used to prepare the final recommendation that will be presented to Oro Valley, the ARC and the Board for their approval.

SCOV Vistoso Cyclists Food Drive Success: We made it!  We raised $25,866 with which to support the ICS Food Bank. Thanks go to the Vistoso Cyclists Club, to the Sun City Vistoso Community Foundation for their gift match, and to the SCOV community for our generous, compassionate response. Over the last three years more than $63,000 in food and dollars have been raised. This fund raising effort was recognized by the AZ Star.

Credit cards accepted at the Administration office: We are pleased to offer you the convenience of paying for many of the items that you purchase in the Administration office with your credit card.  Please note that there are still some items that are not eligible for credit cards such as golf, assessments and a few other items, but the majority of the items sold through the front desk are eligible for this new tender.

Golf Punch Cards: Since it's new this year, I want to remind any of you who are thinking about purchasing a ten punch card that the punch cards no longer expire!  Golf punch cards are now available for purchase in the Welcome Center. Cost for an 18-Hole, 10-punch card is $500 and a 9-Hole, 10-punch card is $300 - cart included! (That's a savings of $190/$150 respectively off 10 rounds.) These punch cards are also transferable. Cash or check accepted. Other restrictions may apply.

Pitching area fencing: In an effort to keep golf balls from getting lost in the wash at the practice pitching area, a chain link fence was installed to retain the balls that would otherwise be lost in the shrubbery. Unfortunately the fence was noticeable in the wash area so to mitigate the aesthetics issue with the fence, it was painted brown. The painting has helped the aesthetics considerably.

Phone Directory: All residents are quality control experts for the telephone directory.  So when Bob Mariani writes, review your directory information online, or Chris Richard puts it in the Tipster, that is a serious request for you to login into the Members Only portion of the website and review your information for accuracy.  Remember that some elements like the email addresses are only online and will not be put into the actual book.  But it is still a good idea to check the accuracy and be sure to let me know if your email address does change so I can correct it in my database.  For the new residents, I must receive information from you, either online or hard copy form.  As a new resident, you are not automatically put into the telephone directory database.

A new problem came up this time in the blue section Resident Listings by Street.  Any of the phone numbers that have a letter designation in front (like who is the owner of that cell phone) was treated as a number in the alphabet like on your telephone keypad.  Therefore your numbers will not resemble anything as it should be!!  I was told this was a most unusual idea on my part!!!  It will be corrected next year.

The online directory and the list of new residents is now in the Members Only portion of the SCOV website. Carolyn Lerch   818-3319 or gclerch@comcast.net

Thanksgiving: Wishing everyone a very happy, thankful and safe Thanksgiving!
