The Board invites you:The Board of Directors wants to invite you to each and every Study Session and Board Meeting. Your thoughts and input are important and one of the best ways to be heard is by attending these monthly meetings. In addition, to this invitation the Board would like you to stop by 15 minutes before the meetings begin so you and the Board Members can have an opportunity for a casual conversation. This pre-meeting period will give you an opportunity to have one-on-one time with Board Members so you can either talk about light social issues or an Association related issue that may be very important to you. The June Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 24th at 9 a.m. in the Welcome Center, Conference Room 3. Please stop by a little early.

Aluminum can recycling: While the Activity Center parking lot is undergoing reconstruction through the end of June, we ask residents donating their aluminum cans in the collection bin behind the kitchen area, to please hold them at their residence until the parking lot reopens. The Community Assistance Committee (CAC) thanks all who support our Loan Room with their donation of aluminum cans. For this fiscal year, over 4,000 pounds of material was delivered, and nearly $2,500.00 was received to finance CAC activities. Thank you for your cooperation with this project.

  Projects, brief updates:

  • Reminder...Mountain Vista parking lot: The parking lot will be re-construction during the period of June 23rd through July 2nd. There will be no access in or out of the lot during that time.

  • Reminder...Activity Center: Electrical floor boxes and carpet will be installed in the Native American Rooms and audio video work will be done in the Auditorium. As a result of these projects, the Activity Center will be closed from June 16th through June 30th. The lobby tile will not be replaced at this time nor will the restrooms be re-tiled. These projects will be referred to an ad hoc committee that will work with a commercial designer to determine what improvements will be made to the facility.

  • Reminder...Restrooms: During the next couple of months, several of the restrooms in the various facilities will be refreshed with new tile, stall enclosures, etc. Notice will be given before these restrooms are worked on.

  • Pickleball/Bocceball:Plans are progressing but more slowly than desired. No final decision has been made yet; however, it may be necessary to construct all the bocce and pickleball courts at one time. Unless the contractor is able to start the concrete work on the bocceball courts within the next three or four weeks at the outside, which is looking doubtful, construction of the pickleball courts, may extend out toward the end of the calendar year if the bocceball courts are constructed prior to the pickleball courts. This scenario could be very problematic as there is a high level of activity in the pickleball/Café/tennis court/golf area beginning in October that will conflict with the construction. As I receive updates regarding the permit approval and contract work schedules, I will pass on this information.

  • Chalk Creek Wash:Two bids have been received for the construction; however, the Town is still reviewing the plans. It's hopeful that the Town will approve the plans this week but that is not certain.
