Questions, comments, etc. regarding This Week's SCOV Report: If you have a question, comment or other response that you like to make regarding an item in this report, you may reply to this message. Depending on the nature of your response (comment, question, etc.), I will acknowledge your reply, answer your questions or take other appropriate action(s) in as timely a manner as possible.

Mountain Vista Tennis Court Access: Within a week or so, the west wall of the tennis courts will be modified and stairs will be installed so that tennis players and other residents may enter the courts from the west side and access the Café/Pro Shop area from the west side parking lot. This new access point should help relieve the parking congestion on the east side of the tennis courts.

Name Tags with new logo available:  If you would like a name tag with the new logo, you may order it using the Name Tag order form included in the Tipster this month.  Just follow the directions on the form.  The form is also available on the Member's Only section of the website.

Golf Car Safety and other topics: So much of the transportation in SCOV takes place by golf cars. As a result, it is very important to learn how you can stay safe and understand laws regarding golf cars. To get this information and pedestrian safety stop by the event put on by the Government Affairs Committee that will be held on Wednesday, April 23 in the Navajo/Hohokam Rooms at 1:30 PM.

Blood Drive: Sun City's next drive is Thursday, April 10, 8-11 AM, Auditorium.  Donating blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others.  Did you know that one pint of blood can save up to three lives and that more than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day?

You can help satisfy this need. To schedule an appointment, call the Red Cross
1-800-448-3543 or visit redcrossblood.org. Keebler provides cookies at the refreshment table to thank you for your time and generosity.

Library Sale: The SCOV Library is running a Spring Sale on books, videos and music CDs. Everything
is "Buy three get one free!" The sale runs through April 11.

Ukulele Audience-Participation Concert-The Sun City Strummers are performing their annual free concert in the Activity Center auditorium on Friday, April 4 at 1 PM.  Every year this concert is a very popular event, full of great music and lots of fun!  We've got some surprises and opportunities for you to sing along or just sit back and enjoy the music!

Snakes: Please, please be aware of your surroundings as the snakes are out. Look down and around before entering an area and be sure not to stick your hands into places if you can't see what is there.
A good example is that I've seen people stick their hands into the miniature golf holes when a ball gets stuck. That's a no, no as you don't know what's lurking in there.

Happy Hour: Come join your friends and neighbors this Friday, April 4 forHappy Hour from 4-7 PM in the Café. The weather is beautiful and perfect for gathering and mingling on the patio. Discounted drinks and special appetizers will be available. See you there!

Town of Oro Valley Information: During the March 25 meeting there were a few questions that were asked, so the following information is provided to give additional details:

Are tickets on sale for the April 18, 40th Anniversary dinner and silent auction?

Yes, tickets may be purchased through the Oro Valley Country Club by phone 520 297-1120 or in person at 300 W. Greenock Drive. The Oro Valley Country Club is open
Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.

What are the dates for the synchronized swimming events at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center?

The National Synchronized Swimming Championship is on April 8-12.  The State Synchronized Swimming Championship is on April 26.  For specific details on these
events please contact the Oro Valley Aquatic Center at 520 209-2472.

The Board invites you: The Board of Directors wants to invite you to each and every Study Session and Board Meeting. Your thoughts and input are important and one of the best ways to be heard is by attending these monthly meetings. In addition, to this invitation the Board would like you to stop by the meetings 15 minutes before the meetings begin so you and the Board Members can have an opportunity for a casual conversation. This pre-meeting period will give you an opportunity to have one-on-one time with Board Members so you can either talk about light social issues or an Association related issue that may be very important to you. The April Study Session will be held on Thursday, April 10th at 9 a.m. in the Welcome Center, Conference Room. Please stop by a little early.

Food and Beverage Director Clarification: It came to my attention that the notice in last week's TWISCOV was interpreted by some residents as a new position had been created. That is not the case. The new Food and Beverage Director, Vince Hotz replaced the previous Food and Beverage Director.
