Newtown News
Greetings.

Betsy Paynter

There is excitement in Newtown as spring approaches. The town has approved the installation of the Hawleyville Sewer extension. This highly anticipated initiative provides opportunity for a few open tracks of land off exit 9 off I-84. This is a natural exit corridor which provides economic development potential for the town of Newtown and additional support for the existing businesses in this area.

The Newtown EDC, SCORE, The Newtown Chamber of Commerce and Newtown Savings Bank kicked of the Newtown Small Business Seminar Series in March. Joanne Marcinek of AskJoanne, LLC, hosted an informative seminar about Internet Marketing; the presentation is available on our website. SBA & Newtown Savings Bank hosted a presentation about Small business financing also available on our website. Entrepreneurship, CT's DECD Small Business EXP Financial programs and Mobile Marketing are coming in April. Learn more here. The seminars are FREE; we hope to see you there.
